Cookie Policy

A cookie is a small text file that a website can place on your device through your web browser. It can be read back by the site on later visits, which lets the site remember small pieces of information between pages or sessions.

Local storage (often called localStorage) is a related browser feature. Like a cookie, it lets a site keep a small amount of information in your browser, but that information stays on your own device and is not automatically sent back to a server with each page request.

Both are common, ordinary features of the modern web. They can be used for strictly necessary purposes, such as remembering a setting you have chosen, or for non-essential purposes, such as analytics or advertising. This site uses neither cookies nor any non-essential storage of the second kind.

This site does not set advertising cookies, does not set analytics cookies, and does not run any third-party tracking. It does not build a profile of you and does not share your browsing with third parties.

The site stores one item in your browser's local storage: your chosen display language (for example, English, Spanish, Italian, Russian or Portuguese). This is saved only so that the site can present pages in the language you selected when you return. It contains no personal information and is not used to identify you.

Fonts used on this site are hosted directly by the site itself. They are not loaded from a third-party font service, so viewing the site does not, through the fonts, share information with any outside provider.

The language preference is functional. It exists only to remember a choice you made about how the site is shown to you, and the site cannot deliver that personalisation without storing it.

Because this is the only item stored, and because it serves no advertising, measurement or tracking purpose, the site does not place any storage on your device that would call for separate consent.

Consent prompts (cookie banners) exist mainly so that you can accept or refuse non-essential cookies, such as those used for analytics or advertising. This site uses no such cookies.

Since the only storage is the strictly necessary language preference, there is nothing non-essential to ask you to accept, and so no consent banner is shown.

You remain in full control of what is stored in your browser. You can view, clear or block cookies and local storage at any time through your browser settings.

In most desktop browsers you can open the developer tools and, under a section usually named Application or Storage, review and delete entries held by a site, including local storage. You can also clear browsing data (including cookies and site data) through your browser's privacy or history settings, which will remove the saved language preference.

If you clear the language preference, the site will simply default to its standard language the next time you visit, and you can choose your language again. Blocking storage entirely will not stop you reading the site, though the site will not be able to remember your language between visits.

The site does not currently use analytics, advertising or other tracking technologies. If that ever changes, this policy would be updated before any such technology is introduced, and where the law requires it, you would be asked for your consent first, for example through a consent prompt.
